On Friday and Saturday, 8th & 9th of November 2024 respectively, Vessels navigating in Yellow Sea and Civilian Aircraft experienced GPS outages based on South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff announcement last Saturday, as it was published by The Guardian. Estimated sources of interference were located in the areas of  Haeju and Kaesong, which is North Korean territory. Latest reports mention that the GPS Jamming is ongoing by North Korea, ignoring the warnings of South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense and the United Nations aviation body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). GPS Jamming has become a provocation tool between the two countries, as this was not the first time that similar incident took place. According to Aljazeera, On May 29 and June 2, approximately 500 aircraft and numerous ships encountered GPS disruptions attributed to interference from North Korea.
